Holiday Assistance

Haysville Community Outreach is a non-profit organization founded in 1996 to serve families in the Haysville School District during the holiday season. Residents of Haysville USD 261 who qualify can apply for Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance.

Applications for assistance for both Thanksgiving and Christmas will be taken on Saturday, October 4 and Saturday, October 11, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the West Haysville Baptist Church, 141 N. Lamar in Haysville. These are the only dates applications will be taken for Thanksgiving. Additional applications for Christmas only will be taken on Saturday, November 15 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Salvation Army income guidelines will be used to determine eligibility. Applicants must bring proof of identification and the following: social security card for each member living in the household; proof of income for the last 60 days for each adult member of the household (2months of payroll check, SRS/Social Security statement, medical cards, copies of unemployment checks, etc.); proof of address (current drivers license or utility bill mailed in the last 30 days). If reason for application is recent loss of work, bring proof of expenditures, gas, electric, water, car payment, mortgage, etc.

Thanksgiving baskets will be distributed on Saturday, November 15 from 9 to 11 a.m.. Christmas distribution will be Saturday, December 13 from 9 to 11 a.m.
